“Laboratory Animal Transportation”

KCLAM support the continued transportation of laboratory animals for research. International transport of animals is essential to maintaining progress toward advances in human and animal health in Korea. Animal models are living, non-human animals that are used in biomedical research for understanding disease processes with risking harm to humans. Research animal transportation is conducted under highly supervised conditions, in accordance with accepted standards, and in compliance with animal welfare related laws. In addition, transport by experienced and licensed animal couriers ensures the safe and appropriate handling of animals by Laboratory animal raw from KFDA.

KCLAM supports the continued transportation of live animals for research purposes in accord with the regulations for human health.”

“실험에 사용되는 동물의 운송에 관련된 한국실험동물수의사회의 입장”

  한국실험동물수의사회는 실험에 사용되는 동물의 지속적인 운송이 이루어지도록 관련 항공사와 운송회사에 협조와 이해를 요청드립니다. 인간과 동물의 건강을 위한 연구에 이용되어지는 동물의 해외로부터의 운송은 연구에 꼭 필요한 과정이라 여겨집니다. 실험에 사용되는 동물은 인간을 대신하는 모델동물로 인간의 건강을 위하여 꼭 필요한 곳에만 사용되는 연구 모델입니다. 연구에 사용되는 동물의 운송에 관하여 동물보호법과 실험동물에 관한 법률등의 엄격한 규정과 절차를 거쳐서 그 과정들이 지켜지고 있습니다. 또한 이러한 실험동물을 취급하는 사람은 식약처로부터 반드시 허가 받은 동물운송업 관련인 입니다.

한국실험동물수의사회는 건강한 인류의 복지를 위하여 실험에 사용되는 동물의 지속적인 운송을 지지합니다.”
